This past Sunday the kids and I painted some stones that we'll use to decorate our veggie garden that we'll be growing this year. All of the food produced will be donated to the Boulder Outreach Homeless Overflow, and the Bridge House in Boulder. This is faith in action!
Planting a garden is one of the "greenest" things that you can do, rather than relying on commercially grown produce that is shipped across the country, or the world. And, let be honest, is there anything more gratifying than slicing into your own tomato- picked only moments before?
David and I are trying our hands at gardening this summer, transforming half of our backyard into our little farm. We're going to harvest way more than we'll be able to use. To be honest, though, I'm really looking forward to giving away a large portion of our harvest to neighbors, family, and friends. What better way to make friends?
So, get dirty this summer! Go green :)
Peace, Love, and Laughter,
Emily
